IT Security company EnterNet Technologies, with their research and development department in Örnsköldsvik and offices in Stockholm, Turin, Helsinki and Paris, has changed their name to Clavister. The name change will open new international opportunities for the company within the IT-Security marketplace. Clavister develops, markets and sells cost-efficient software-based IT-Security for companies and organisations requiring quality security solutions.

Their main product is Clavister Firewall, which recently was labelled "best in test" in Nätverk & Kommunikation. Clavister Firewall secures networks from hacker's attempts to break into company networks to steal or destroy information. Clavister's customers are various companies and organisations throughout Europe.

- The security market has been rather stable despite the decrease in the IT-industry. We feel that the timing is right for a name change and increasing our focus on the international market, says Peter Johansson, President at Clavister.

Clavister, founded in 1997, has around 50-employees who combine many years of experience in network technology, while focusing on IT Security and firewalls. Both institutional and private investors finance the company. Currently there are around 40 owners. Total turnover for year 2000 was 11.4 million.

This Autumn Clavister hired on some experienced personal to help with the new international expansion. For example, Joacim Hillervik, one of the founders of WorldCom Nordic joined Clavister and is now responsible for Clavister's international expansion.

Others who have joined Clavister are Cecilia Brändström, former Vice President at Ericsson Sweden and Mathias Westphal, former Marketing Director at Kodak (Nordic Countries).
