[ French press impressed by Clavister Firewalls ]

Clavister today announces that the company has won three awards in tests made by two of the largest and most important French IT publications. PC Expert appoints Clavister Firewall 7.0 to the best IT security product of 2002 under the award name "Excellences Techniques". In addition to this PC Expert gives Clavister's firewall the Editors' Choice award, which also is the prize .netpro gives it.

- Through our sales office we have been present in France for a year. The French market is important to us since they have a high level awareness when it comes to IT security. It is obvious that we have done a good job marketing ourselves there, said Joacim Hillervik, Sales Director, Clavister.

The award for best IT security product, Excellences Techniques, is based on tests of more than 1500 products made by PC Expert. The products were categorized into 19 types and three products were chosen in every category. After further tests, one product in every category was finally named the winner. Clavister's two competitors in the IT security category were Arkoon Network Security Firewall Secure Blue and Netasq F50. The magazine declares that the winning products have been contributing to the evolution in the IT industry as well as the market.

- We are very proud of receiving these awards. It is obvious that our technology maintains high standards and that we can compete with the larger and more established companies, said Joacim Hillervik.

PC Expert also gave Clavister its prize Editors' Choice. The magazine tested four software firewalls and three Appliances regarding functionality and resistance against attacks. Clavister Firewall 7.0 was competing against Checkpoint Firewall One Next Generation, Computer Associates e-trust Firewall 3.1 and Privador Barricade S and the Appliances Arkoon Secure Blue 200, WatchGuard Firebox 700 and Finally Netasq F50. In these tests the magazine points out that a firewall is the single most important product for a secure Internet connection. One of the main factors for choosing Clavister Firewall 7.0 is the lack of an operating system that eliminates a large part of the vulnerability of the firewall.

Also .netpro choose Clavister's firewall to Editors' Choice in their test in January. The magazine did several tests in laboratories and among the tested products Clavister was chosen as superior. The firewall got 16 out of 20 points in four categories; functionality, usability, ergonomic and cost efficiency. The reasons for choosing Clavister where the non-existing operating system that makes the firewall efficient and secure as well as the rich adaptability and functionality.
