Chinese company Amaranten (ASIA) and its sister company XAC Network Solutions today launches their first suite of firewalls, Amaranten F Series, at COMDEX/China in Beijing. The firewalls are based on the awarded technology from the Swedish IT security company Clavister. The firewalls will be labeled with the official OEM mark "Guarded by Clavister". Amaranten F Series have been tested during the last couple of months and passed the Computer System Security Product Quality Test, which is supervised by China Public Security Ministry. The test is mandatory to all companies that want to enter the Chinese market with this kind of products.

- The OEM agreement with Amaranten is a great breakthrough for us. We have been working with the OEM strategy for a while and we are very satisfied with the result, says Joacim Hillervik, Head of sales, Clavister.

Amaranten has utilized the advantages of Clavister's technology, which have resulted in an impressive throughput that reaches almost 2 Gbit/s. Other features are for example tools for real-time monitoring, advanced logging and traffic shaping.

The firewall is ready for shipping and is launched on Comdex in China April 17th. Marketing, sales and support will be handled by Amaranten's sister company XAC Network Solutions.
