Clavister, a leading provider of enterprise firewall and VPN solutions, today introduced the Clavister XC series, a new line of high-performing security appliances with multi-gigabit VPN performance.

The new XC series extends Clavister's current mid-range and high-end series of products, and include three new models; the Clavister XC1080, Clavister XC3040 and Clavister XC4080.

The models are all based on Clavister's innovative and award-winning technology for high-performing security solutions, and set a new standard for affordable scalability in VPN enabled networking infrastructures.

The new products deliver up to 4 Gbit/s of firewalling throughput, and up to 2 Gbit/s of 3DES and AES encrypted traffic. Combined with the support for 5 million concurrent connections, over 4000 Virtual LANs, advanced bandwidth management features and seamless fail-over of both plaintext and VPN sessions, Clavister products are the ideal components in any demanding VPN solution.

The XC products, where XC stands for accelerated crypto, make use of the powerful Clavister Firewall core software in combination with encryption and decryption algorithms processed in silicon, resulting in a series of the most high-performing VPN gateways on the market.

The Clavister XC products will be available in the second quarter of 2003.
