Networking product manufacturer D-Link Corporation, and Clavister, a leading developer of high-performance IT/IP security technology, today announced a global business collaboration aimed at bringing a new generation of D-Link network security products to the market.

The market for network security products in general and firewalls in particular is anticipated to be one of the fastest growing market segments over the next five to six years. D-Link Corporation, who today holds a leading position within the broadband router and the wireless networking market, has the ambition to become as successful in the field of firewalling and VPN.

For this reason, D-Link has chosen Clavister, in fierce competition with several other security product vendors, as their provider of firewall and VPN technology.

The first products will be introduced to the market during January 2004. Initially, the product portfolio will consist of DFL-700, aimed at small and mid-sized corporations, and DFL-1100, designed for larger enterprises.
