Today Clavister defeats five competitors in a security appliances test (Fast Ethernet systems) conducted by Real World Labs. The tested products included security appliance systems from the vendors Fortinet, Gateprotect, Lucent, Securpoint, Symantec, and Clavister.

Security appliances offer a good "fire protection" in state-of-the-art networks. These appliances provide functionalities such as firewall and VPN, but also additional security technologies securing entire networks as well as single network segments. The test conducted by Real World Labs investigated whether these systems, in addition to the required security, also offer the necessary performance in the Fast Ethernet segment.

The benchmark particularly focused on the aspects of firewall and VPN performance, quality of service, high availability, and exploit recognition that underwent in-depth testing. The Clavister Security defeated all competitive products and was announced winner of the prestigious test.
