EnterNet VPN
The EnterNet VPN (Virtual Private Network) module adds true VPN support to EnterNet Firewall 6.0 through the use of the IPSec standard as defined by IETF. Administration is done through the EnterNet Firewall Manager, thus giving seamless integration of the two products. EnterNet VPN supports standard VPN encryption as well as DES (56 bits), 3DES (168 bits), CAST128 (128 bits) and Blowfish (40-448 bits). Having the VPN functionality integrated with the firewall brings additional benefits compared to using stand-alone VPN solutions, specifically in that configuration of clients and their security settings only needs to be performed once, and obviously in terms of performance.
EnterNet VPN Client
The client software from EnterNet Technologies enables PC-based clients to access their network resources in a secure way by means of IPSec. Designed for single user, single network connection personal computers, this module is available for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows NT 4. Versions for Linux and Windows 2000 are scheduled for release in the near future. The product adhers strictly to the IETF standard IPSec, and can thus connect to other compatible products on the market as well.
EnterNet High Availability Option
EnterNet High Availability Option adds support for a second firewall to act as immediate stand-in for the primary. At the slightest indication of malfunction in the primary, the secondary will step in and take over the protection of the network, all within a split second and with no apparent disturbance in traffic flow.
EnterNet Upgrade Kit
EnterNet Upgrade Kit is an agreement for both major and minor upgrades. These are distributed either through the Internet or through normal channels. By using the upgrade option, administrators can upgrade all their EnterNet products without the hassle of passwords and logins. All updates are downloaded with encryption through the use of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) certificates, all handled by the upgrade kit manager. << Back
